Iran ready to help Azerbaijan produce agricultural machinery

In this trip, while studying the economic relations between the two countries in various fields, we announced Irans readiness for cross-border cultivation and production of agricultural machinery, said Masoud Karbasian, Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance of Iran.

(SHADA: TEHRAN) -- The Iranian head of the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation of Iran and Azerbaijan said: During the visit, I invited the Azerbaijani President to attend the tripartite meeting of Iran, Azerbaijan and Russia, and the status of joint economic projects was also examined.

The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan said that in the past few years, his country has the most development of relations with Iran in comparison with other countries and considered the relations between the two countries beyond a simple commercial and economic point, Karbasian added.

Aliyev and other officials of Azerbaijan that we met on the visit expressed satisfaction with the progress of the agreements reached between the joint economic committees of Iran and Azerbaijan, he stated.

The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan proposed that multilateral cooperation should be extended beyond the bilateral relations, so we will see new economic cooperation among Iran, Azerbaijan and Georgia in the future, Karbasian added.

Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance further stated that other issues raised during the meeting with the Azerbaijani officials were the development of banking relations between the two countries, and Aliyev had a positive view on the Iran-Azerbaijan banking cooperation.

Karbasian arrived in Baku on Thursday along with his Deputy, Mohammad Khazaie, and Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development Asqar Fakhrieh Kashani.

This is the first visit to Baku by Karbasian as the Iranian head of the joint economic commission.
