During the meeting of the Iranian Minister of Economy and the Croatian Minister of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts, Iran and Croatia emphasized the development of economic, industrial and tourism cooperation.
(SHADA: TEHRAN) -- In the meeting, which was held at the Iranian Ministry of Economy, Masoud Karbassian announced that the ministry is fully prepared to cooperate in enhancing economic, industrial, and banking relations between Iran and Croatia.
According to him, some of the appropriate fields of cooperation include customs and support for mutual investment. Karbassian further expressed hope that the relevant agreements will be finalized soon.
He stated that with the opening of new phases of the South Pars oil field, good facilities have been provided for supplying the petrochemical industry in Iran. The field of petrochemicals is very attractive for Croatian investors and other countries: Karbassian added.
The Minister of Economy of Iran called the energy and power industry as another attractive area for joint venture and development of cooperation and said: Neighborhood and good relations of Iran with 15 countries have transformed Iran into an important crossroads to access the market of several hundred million people in the region and offers a great opportunity to invest in and sell Croatian goods.
Karbassian further proposed to formulate a joint program for the development of economic cooperation between the two countries, saying that Iran is ready to review and approve the agreements of the Croatian delegation during their next meeting with representatives of the private sector of our country.
Martina Dalić, Minister of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts of Croatia, emphasized her country's interest in developing bilateral cooperation and good relations between the two countries in recent years, and said: Croatia as a destination country with a successful record in attracting foreign tourists, including Iranian tourists, is well prepared to develop cooperation in this area.
