Iran to hold first League of Stock Exchange Stars

The director of the public relations of the Securities and Exchange Organization of Iran says that the holding of the League of Stock Exchange Stars will change the prevailing view that professionals and graduates of economic and financial affairs should work only in companies, institutions or manufacturing companies.
(SHADA: TEHRAN) -- Stating that the Securities and Exchange Organization (SEO) intends to hold the event to enhance knowledge on the capital market, Yasser Fallah said: The first League of Stock Exchange Stars will be held from July 24th till August 21st this year, aiming to link more universities with the capital market.

This special event will be held with the participation of management, accounting, economics, and MBA students for about 20 business days in the Tehran Stock Exchange, he noted.

One of the main goals of the contest is to discover talented students in economic and financial affairs, Fallah said, adding:  Students of Tehran University, Sharif University of Technology, Allameh Tabatabaei, Kharazmi, Khajeh Nasir, Al-Zahra, Amir Kabir, Shahid Beheshti, Tarbiat Modares and Islamic Azad University will participate in the event.

The contest will be held in the form of five-member teams. Each team with 100 million rials will invest in the capital market, create stock portfolios, and trade on the stock exchange and the three teams that have the highest returns will win the contest, he stated.
