The Director General of Central Insurance said the total life insurance and non-life insurance policies of insurance companies in Iran is 29 trillion tomans, indicating 18 growth in life insurance during the first three months of this Iranian year.

He commended the efforts of journalists and the media in developing the culture of insurance, saying: One of the important tasks for the development of insurance culture is positive and constructive criticism as well as the expression of the views of the people and experts.
The Director General of Central Insurance emphasized the importance of the media, especially social networks, and added: I want the media and reporters to help develop the insurance culture in the country.
Referring to the Central Insurance Forum, he noted: The development process of the insurance industry is acceptable and the growth of premiums generated in the past year was 22%.
Stating that the growth of life insurance was well, he said the growth of life insurance was 18 percent in the first quarter of this Iranian year.
Hemmati also said that the insurance penetration rate in the country was 2.2%.
He further explained that the reason for the difference between the insurance penetration rate in Iran and the global average is the power of social security system in Iran.
