An investment meeting focused on اقتصاد مقاومتی was held at the provincial Governor’s Office on 17 Khordad 1405 (7 June 2026), chaired by the Governor and attended by executive agency directors and economic activists to review major economic and investment projects across the province.

Taher Sharifpour, Director General of Economic Affairs and Finance of the province, opened the session with a report on the progress of ongoing investment plans. The meeting then moved to a project-by-project review under the management of Seyed Ehsan Askari, Deputy for Economic Coordination at the Governor’s Office, with discussions centered on attracting investment and advancing implementation.

Askari framed the event under the slogan “Economy strengthened, sustainable security, national unity,” linking the agenda to the broader policies of اقتصاد مقاومتی, national security, and cohesion. He also called for full use of the capacities of executive bodies and provincial universities to ensure a well-organized event and to compile a precise inventory of investment opportunities in different sectors.

Participants raised issues facing the Gachsaran glass factory, stressing the need to remove obstacles and support the production unit to expand employment and boost output. The session also assessed the planned 100,000-barrel refinery (پالایشگاه) as a strategic provincial project, discussing ways to secure infrastructure, attract investors, and accelerate execution steps.

The Mahan cultivation project was also reviewed, with officials highlighting its potential to develop agriculture, create jobs, and improve productivity. The meeting concluded with renewed emphasis on inter-agency coordination to remove investment barriers and to follow up on مصوبات دولت as well as the session’s approvals, aiming to pave the way for economic development and new investment inflows.
